History of Delta Food Industrial Group

In 1945, the Nasiri family embarked on a business venture that eventually evolved into the renowned Delta Industry Group, known today as Ramak. In its early days, the group primarily focused on exporting fruits to various Persian Gulf nations, such as Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain.

In 1971, the Delta Industry Group expanded its activities to include food imports from European countries and the Persian Gulf region. Capitalizing on the economic boom during the 1970s, the founders of the Delta Group seized the opportunity for entrepreneurship and value creation. As their first step, they established two factories in 1977, specializing in the production of meat and seafood products.

In 1980, the Delta Food Industry Group set its sights on expanding its operations even further. As part of this expansion plan, they introduced a new subsidiary called Tivandasht Company, which operated under the brand name Namakin. The primary focus of Namakin was the production of canned goods, including pickled cucumbers, various pickles, jams, and honey.

In response to the country’s requirement for foreign currency and to generate value through exports, the Delta Food Industry Group established the Ase-Yasuj Company in 1989. The primary objective of this new venture was the production and export of licorice in various forms, including powder, extract, and molded products.
